As part of the City of Portland’s management of Portland’s stormwater, Green Banks was hired to assist SWCA Environmental Consultants in identifying, documenting, and mapping streams, wetlands, and other natural resources on approximately 300 private and public properties within the city of Portland. The City’s Wetland Inventory Project (WIP) involved a planning level survey of small and large wetlands within the City of Portland’s Urban Services Area. Green Banks, in collaboration with other environmental consultants, performed wetland and waters delineations, collected data related to the City’s stormwater management through natural infrastructure, recorded technical data that allowed for tracking of wetlands over time, and provided other data that was needed to support future planning and protection of wetlands.
