Background

Ian joined Green Banks in 2022. His work as a Natural Resource Technician includes habitat management, vegetation surveying, non-native weed control, and native seeding and planting. Ian also serves as Green Banks’ erosion and sediment control lead. Ian’s experience prior to joining Green Banks includes managing vegetation, collecting data related to invasive weed species, tree measurement, tree identification, and working with strategic structural interventions such as Beaver Dam Analogs and Pole-Assisted Log Structures. In addition to his enthusiasm for restoring habitat, Ian enjoys connecting with other environmentalists through the Society of American Foresters, sports, reading, hiking, camping, and hanging out with friends.
